Åsa comes from Dalecarlia and works in Stockholm, being one of the studioartists hosted at Detroit Stockholm.

Åsa Ekman works with several different mediums such as acrylics, ink and pyrography. Her work often has imaginatory or surreal elements derived from dreams, ideas or that plainly appears in her mind and her art is a direct expression of those occurrences.
