"My oeuvre ranges between drawing, painting, writing and site specific installations.
My act of drawing closely resembles the practice of writing—it is done within a notebook, with a pen designated for writing, and is based on very minimalistic work tools: a red pen and a black pen. The black ink is the “black-and-white” — it is the undisguised, explicit text; the red ink, on the other hand, signifies what lies beneath the surface, the sub-text.
I explore the connection between the physical and narrative dimension and raise questions concerning issues of identity, gender, trauma, cultural representations and their interpretation."
