Galleri Majkens is seeking proposals for solo- and
group shows for 2021
Galleri Majkens is a feminist art gallery. The gallery opened its doors in June 2017, situated in the inner room of the café establishment Majkens Café, but is since August 2018 non-site specific.
Regional, national and international artists with feminist, queer and norm-critical practices are welcome to apply.

Requirements:
-Work must be created within the past 5 years
-All work must be for sale (when applicable)
-You may submit the following: Painting, drawing, installation, ceramics, sculpture, textiles, photography, jewelry, and video (film links via Youtube or Vimeo).
-Artist or a group of artists may apply
-Artist is responsible for framing, shipping, and/or delivery.
To propose an exhibition,
please send the following:
-Artist statement
-Resumé & contact information
-7-10 images high quality images of a consistent body of artwork. JPEG format.
-Website
Gallery provides:
-Press releases
-Opening Reception
-Other tailored events such as Finissage,
Workshop or Artist talk meeting the needs of the artist/s.
-Digital representation on the gallery website and social media
Note:
The exhibitions committee decides the appropriateness of all works, and reserves the right to refuse work that differs substantially from that proposed. All work needs to be insured by the artist. We cannot be responsible for artwork while in transit. Delivery and/or shipment of artwork to and from the gallery and subsequent costs are the responsibility of the artist. Galleri Majkens retains a negotiated commission which goes directly to the establishment.
